A Child's Light Partners with Women's Business Connection of Chester County for Premier Designer Bag Bingo Fundraiser

Following Last Year's Record $13,000 Impact, the Event Expands to Support Rapid-Response Trauma Care for Local Youth

Downingtown, PA - September 14, 2026-- A Child's Light, a Chester County non-profit providing expedited mental health support for youth who have survived severe trauma, announced its selection as the official community beneficiary for the Women's Business Connection of Chester County (WBCCC) annual Designer Bag Bingo fundraiser. The premier event will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattress Outlet in Exton, Pennsylvania.

Building on the success of last year's event, which raised over $13,000 to directly fund specialized therapy for local children, A Child's Light and WBCCC invite community members, business leaders, and local residents to register and participate

A Shared Commitment to Protecting Vulnerable Children

The Women's Business Connection of Chester County selects community partners based on a shared mission to protect, uplift, and advocate for women and children across the region. WBCCC champions A Child's Light for its rapid-response model, which directly addresses the critical access gap in youth mental health care.

Currently, subsidized mental health care for youth in Chester County requires a waitlist of several months. By pre-paying a private network of over 100 trauma-informed therapists directly, A Child's Light circumvents these systemic delays, placing at-risk youth into specialized care in as little as five days.

"We are beyond proud to donate the proceeds from our 2025 fundraising efforts to our community partner A Child's Light," said Chris Anderson, Board President of the Women's Business Connection of Chester County. "This means that $13,284 will help to provide expedited mental health support for children and adolescents in our community. This is the heart of the WBC."

"The camaraderie and dedication of the Women's Business Connection of Chester County are truly inspiring," said Leslie Holt, Founder and Executive Director of A Child's Light. "Last year's incredible $13,000 contribution made an immediate, life-changing difference for children in our community who had survived severe trauma. We are deeply grateful for WBCCC's ongoing support in elevating our cause, uniting local leaders, and helping us guide vulnerable children toward a brighter, more hopeful future."
